Pumpkins: 36 Varieties
The Big Max is, by far, our most popular seller. If you're looking for a big pumpkin with a solid 3-4" shell and great tasting seeds; this is the one for you. The Big Max is also good for pies and many other pumpkin recipes. Average weights are 60-100lbs, with a few weighing in at even more!
Atlantic Giant pumpkins are the variety that currently hold the world record, tipping the scales at nearly 1,700lbs. At The Patch we've had a few reach over 200lbs, with one in particular reaching 225lbs. These pumpkins are usually a bit lighter in color and offer wall thicknesses and seeds similar to the Big Max.
Of Special Note: We have specially designed carts to use at The Patch for moving these monsters!
Tom Fox pumpkins offer one of the nicest overall shapes and deep orange colors. They're also known for their durable, dark green handles to complement their sharp look and fantastic "curb appeal." They weigh in between 12-20lbs, with a few growing a bit bigger. These are a personal favorite of ours and are perfect for all sorts of pumpkin recipes that you might be looking to try this year!
French "Cinderella" pumpkins are unique and attractive in a very bold way. They don't come in a large size, but they make up for it with their very attractive look and well rounded use in pumpkin cakes, pies, breads and soups. They're known for their flatened, yet defined shape as well as their exceptional color.
This one is a "must see" for the pumpkin lover out there!
These smooth skinned, dark orange with green stem beauties are roughly 5"-6" in diameter and are perfect for decorative use around the house. Baby Bears are a pumpkin fan favorite and are especially loved and enjoyed by kids who come out to The Patch looking to take home something that isn't too heavy to handle.
